I’m excited to be finally sharing some of the stories I have been working on for so many years. If this experiment works out, I plan to share much more. I’m hopeful that this format will help reduce some of the writer’s block I have experienced. Instead of a quest for perfection, I can publish material here, and if I find I’m not 100% happy with it, I can always tweak it.

The posts in this blog will probably be my own notes about “news” in the process, especially as I prioritize and bring out new material as I go.

What’s my purpose in all this? It comes down to a few things for me:

• I love the process of doing the research, and writing about it
• If it’s not shared, it could be lost. I’m always thinking about that distant relative in the future who wants to find these things out and I want them to be able to build on what I’ve learned.
• I know that some others in my extended family are already interested in knowing more about the Sulcers and their origins
• By establishing this web site, it may lead to a vehicle for me to share other creative passions of mine in the future, whether they turn out to be writing projects, musical projects, or something else.

So if you are reading this site, what do I want from you?  Well, I welcome questions and other signs of positive engagement with the material. This helps me to make the site better, and it’s always nicer to think I’m not publishing this material into a void.
